We are a translation agency in Las Vallinas, a small village in rural Asturias. Three translators and a coordinator who do careful, professional translation work from the mountains of northern Spain.
The agency started in 2015. Our founder had worked for large translation agencies in Madrid and grew tired of the production-line approach: rush everything, cut corners, move on to the next project. She moved back to Asturias and set up an agency that does things differently.
Our approach is simple: read the document properly, understand it, translate it carefully, and have a second person review it. This takes more time than the speed-first approach. But the result is a translation that actually reads well and is technically accurate.
Asturias shapes the work we do. The region has a strong industrial heritage (mining, energy), a growing food export sector (cider, cheese, meat), a significant university and research community, and a local language (Asturianu) that needs professional translation support. These are our specialisms because they are what Asturias needs.
Operating from a village rather than a city keeps our costs low. We pass that on. Our rates are genuinely competitive for the quality we deliver.
